Kolby’s Computers offers in-home service for most issues. Our standard hourly rate for in-home service is $85/hr within the Comox Valley or Campbell River.
We also offer many flat-rate services if you bring your computer to us. These flat-rate services offer a significant discount for our most commonly offered services compared to our standard hourly rate.
Computer Diagnostics – $40
Is your computer freezing, making a strange sound, or otherwise acting abnormally? We will determine the problem with your computer and discuss your repair options.
File Recovery – Starting at $80
Is your computer damaged beyond repair? Do you have an old hard drive full of important pictures? We can recover data from most hardware and transfer it to a working hard drive or your current computer.
Computer Cleanup – $60
Is your computer running slow? Our cleanup service will make your computer run like new!

Upgrade your computer’s Hard Drive to an SSD. All SSD upgrades include a full backup and restore of all your data.
An SSD is the single most noticeable upgrade you can make to your computer. An SSD uses flash memory chips to store your data rather than a spinning magnetic disk. Using flash memory results in exponentially better performance, much better reliability, and quieter operation. An SSD can be installed in just about any computer purchased within the last 10 years.

Have your family videotapes or photos converted to digital with our Media Transfer Services!
We will convert your old videos to a modern digital format that can be viewed on any modern Smart TV, Tablet, Phone, or Computer.

Pricing for video conversion starts at $39.99 for the first tape, and $30 for each additional tape. A surcharge of $5 per additional hour of footage is charged for any tape longer than 2 hours.
Pricing for photos starts at $39.99 for the first 100 photos, and $0.25 for each additional photo.
